Discover the Joy of Taiko

If you love taiko or want to give it a try, you're welcome here.

Kizuna Taiko Arts offers Japanese taiko learning opportunities designed to make taiko more accessible for youth of all abilities. No previous taiko experience is necessary. 

Whether your goal is to perform on stage or simply enjoy making music and exploring taiko at your own pace, we welcome every participant with respect and encouragement.

Our Approach

Every participant is unique.

Some members enjoy performing at community events and celebrating their accomplishments with family and friends. Others simply enjoy playing taiko, learning new skills, and spending time with their teammates.

Both paths are equally valued.

We work closely with each family to create an experience that supports the participant's interests, goals, strengths, and individual needs.

Who Can Join?

Our program welcomes:

• Youth of all abilities

• Beginners with no previous taiko experience

• Siblings who would like to participate together

• Participants who are approximately 125 cm (4 ft. 1 in.) tall or taller so they can comfortably reach the drums

Every learner is unique, and every family has different goals and priorities. We encourage families to explore whether Kizuna Taiko Arts is a good fit for their child's interests, goals, and learning needs. If you're unsure whether the program is the right fit, we'd be happy to talk with you.

Classes

Weekly Classes

• Saturdays 3:00–4:30 PM

Classes are held in:

• Downtown Los Angeles Area

• Orange County

• Zoom (scheduled periodically)

Performances

Throughout the year, members have opportunities to perform at community and cultural events.

Participation in performances is encouraged for those who enjoy performing, but it is never required. Every member is free to participate in the way that best supports their own goals.

Tuition

• Annual Membership: $50

• Monthly Tuition: $80

Some Regional Centers may provide funding for participation. Self-Determination Program (SDP) funding may also be available. Please contact us for more information.

Visitors and trial participants are always welcome.

Enrollment is offered periodically as space becomes available. Please contact us if you'd like to learn more or be notified about future enrollment opportunities.
