Ongoing Classes

Discover the Joy of Taiko at our Ongoing Classes!

If you love taiko or want to give it a try, you're welcome here.

Kizuna Taiko Arts offers Japanese taiko learning opportunities designed to make taiko more accessible for youth of all abilities.

No previous taiko experience is necessary.

Whether your goal is to perform on stage or simply enjoy making music and exploring taiko at your own pace, we welcome every participant with respect and encouragement.

Our Approach

Every participant is unique.

Some members enjoy performing at community events and celebrating their accomplishments with family and friends. Others simply enjoy playing taiko, learning new skills, and spending time with their teammates.

Both paths are equally valued.

We work closely with each family to create an experience that supports the participant's interests, goals, strengths, and individual needs.

Who Can Join?

Our program welcomes:

Youth of all abilities

Beginners with no previous taiko experience

Siblings who would like to participate together

Participants who are approximately 125 cm (4 ft. 1 in.) tall or taller so they can comfortably reach the drums

Every learner is unique, and every family has different goals and priorities. We encourage families to explore whether Kizuna Taiko Arts is a good fit for their child's interests, goals, and learning needs. If you're unsure whether the program is the right fit, we'd be happy to talk with you.

Kizuna Taiko Arts On the Go!

Bringing the Joy of Taiko to Your Community!

Kizuna Taiko Arts On the Go! brings the experience of Japanese taiko drumming directly to schools, day programs, community organizations, and other facilities.

We can bring our drums and equipment to your location for interactive, hands-on workshops where participants can explore rhythm, movement, teamwork, and Japanese culture in a fun and supportive environment.

Our workshops are designed to be inclusive and adaptable to participants of different ages and abilities.

A typical workshop accommodates approximately 5–10 participants, but other group sizes can be discussed based on your organization's needs.

Interested in bringing taiko to your organization? Contact us to learn more and discuss possible arrangements.
